The Entrepreneurs Mindset dilemma

potholes_2

As a serial entrepreneur, since about 8 years old, I don’t know if this will ever change? I would love to know your experience….
As someone who’s brain never shuts off & am always thinking of new opportunities (ADHDer) to create, there is a portion of my thinking that I don’t like. It is that doubt portion.

While I try not to focus or linger on that part of being an entrepreneur, I think it may be human nature, to doubt & worry about outcomes. I have cried myself to sleep at night, have gotten flat out angry & have become depressed because I think too much, most of the time! So, I am well aware of the struggles, however, the solution is to quickly get out of the mind potholes as soon as possible.

Here are 5 things I do to get out of the mind potholes & become my productive self again….

1) STOP. Stop it…I literally tell myself, most of the time in a whisper, to STOP IT! I remind myself that the set backs or fear is temporary & I can over come this (whatever it is).

2) I write out a plan for what is happening to make me fear or be angry about something. Is it finances, is it growth, is it sales? If it is finances, I find that when I write things out, id doesn’t look as bad as I thought, & if it is worse than I thought, I make a plan on how to pivot the current situation.

3) I listen to something that motivates & empowers me. Usually that consists of some early 90’s “girl” hip hop….Envogue, Natashia Bettingfield etc.

4) I try to “serve” others. Whether it’s giving information on social media, or getting out in my community, or neighborhood, I try to remind myself it’s not about me. It’s about helping others produce results.

5) I create. I either do some crafty stuff, look for real estate or I create more for my business…like blog posts!
